Children's Health Ireland launches Innovation Strategy at the GEC
CHI Chief Executive Eilish Hardiman, Prof Paul McNally and the innovation team, clinicians and GEC Healthcare Innovators came together at the GEC in May to launch CHI’s innovation strategy 2022-2025. One of the key ways CHI will achieve their strategy is through innovation. The CHI Innovation strategy 2022-2025 outlines how they will establish and develop an innovation environment to translate the enormous potential that exists, across CHI and with our partners, into meaningful innovations that improve the health of children and young people.
Health @ GEC in Partnership with St James's Hospital
St James’s Hospital is Ireland’s largest acute academic teaching hospital and is based in Dublin’s south inner city. Its fundamental purpose is the delivery of health treatment, care and diagnosis as well as health promotion and preventative services at local, regional and national levels. The hospital’s academic partner is Trinity College Dublin. It is one of eight adult-designated national cancer centres in the country and its campus offers a hub of services designed to meet patients’ needs.
The vision for St James’s Hospital into the future is to be a leading healthcare organisation, nationally and internationally, and to improve health outcomes through collaboration and innovation. The hospital welcomes and looks forward to the future opening of the National Children’s Hospital, Phase 2 of the St Luke’s Radiation Centre, and the transfer of the Coombe Women and Infants University Hospital facility to the campus.
